Summary: The EH&S; Manager has the ultimate responsibility for facility safety record and safety improvements along with keeping the production facility within compliance of all relevant regulatory requirements. Works with plant personnel and Corporate EH&S; to ensure compliance with applicable regulations (OSHA, EPA, etc.) and the implementation of best practices. This position is required to complete all necessary testing, reporting and investigation to facilitate compliance while managing the internal EH&S; system. The EH&S; Manager is also responsible for initial training of all employees, continued training for all relevant facility protocols, ISO 14001 compliance,leadership of the facility Safety Committee. This individual will also need to have the ability to identify and drive value added projects independently. General
Responsibilities: -Facility safety oversight by managing all injuries, incidents and opportunities for improvement -Ensure all environmental & regulatory reporting is complete, accurate and timely -Industrial hygiene testing -Wastewater discharge testing -Hazardous waste control -Facility waste management -Cost reduction initiatives as pertaining to EH&S; -Project management -Safety committee -Ensure EH&S; systems are implemented and maintained effectively including ISO 14001, OSHA requirements, WIEMS -Fire department liaison -Manage property protection initiatives -New hire safety training and required safety training for all employees -Manage safety recognition programs -High level oversight for 100% safety participation by all employees -Implement appropriate measures to minimize risk including the use of engineering controls where possible. Skills: -Bachelors degree or Associates degree and 3 to 5 years of related experience, or equivalent experience and/or training -Must exhibit strong leadership and management skills -Must possess strong organization and record keeping skills -Must have solid understanding of safety policies and procedures -Must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of plant personnel -Able to present material to groups -Strong knowledge of MS Office -Strong knowledge of environmental, health & safety regulationsEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
