Summary:
The Receiving Clerk is responsible for processing the documentation of shipments that have been received and assuring that the paperwork is sent to accounts payable.
Examples of Duties:
Reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
Completes tasks as directed with minimum supervision.
Verifies shipments received match outstanding purchase orders.
Works with Receiving Inspector to ensure orders are complete and undamaged.
Responsible for scheduling pick up of incorrect or damaged items for return to vendor.
Forwards paperwork to Accounts Payable for processing.
Responsible for adhering to all standard operating procedures to promote the safety of all employees, including wearing safety gear when required; hearing warning sounds, and recognizing potentially dangerous situations in an indoor plant environment.

Minimum Requirements:
High School diploma or GED One year or more of equivalent experience.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
